Deputy Chairman of the Board
Master of Agriculture, Associate Member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Born on April 30, 1959 in the communal farm named after Abai of Maktaaral District in the South Kazakhstan Region

 

Educational Background: In 1987, he graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural College in Almaty. In 2004, he passed PhD defense on ‘Effective Weed Control in the Cotton and Alfalfa Crop Rotation in the Southern Kazakhstan’.

Professional Career:

​In 1987, he worked as the professor of Special Technical Vocational School-37 in Zhetisay. In August of the same year, he moved to Pakhtaaral Experimental Station of All-Union Research Institute of Cotton Growing, where he worked as the Junior Research Fellow of Amelioration and Irrigation Department. From 1989, he worked as the Senior Research Fellow, Director of Agrotechnics Department (1990) and Academic Secretary (1991). He worked as the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs in Pakhtaaral Experimental Station from 1992. From 2006 to 2008, he was appointed as the Deputy Director General for Academic Affairs of the State Branch Enterprise ‘Research Institute of Cotton Growing of the Republican State Enterprise ‘Southwest Scientific Production Center of Agriculture’ of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2008 up to now, he is working as the Deputy Director General for Academic Affairs of ‘Kazakh Research Institute of Cotton Growing’ LLP of ‘KazAgroInnovatsia’ JCS of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Research Papers and Publications: He published more than 230 research papers according to results of scientific investigations issuing the development of cotton sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a supervisor of the scientific projects on the cotton cultivation technology. He is a co-author of numerous books and recommendations oriented to solve many important problems relating to the development of cotton growing in Kazakhstan. He was responsible for publishing of the collection of research papers based on the research findings of cotton growing for 2001-2005, 2006-2008, 2009-2011 and 2012-2015 under the Program 042 ‘Agriculture Applied Research’.

Key Achievements: He is the inventor of two home-produced high-yielding cotton varieties of PA-3044 and PA-3031 types, which are applied nowadays occupying more than 85% of the total cotton planting acreage.

He is a winner of the Innovative Solutions Competition ‘Ratsionalizator.kz’ in 2012 that was organized by the Ministry of Industry and New Technology of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the ‘National Agency for Technological Development’ JSC, where he was awarded the Special Diploma for the 1st place in the Republic Competition of Technical Innovations ‘Ratsionalizator.kz’.

In 2013, he was elected as the corresponding member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He is the author of 35 innovative and useful model patents, many of which are successfully used in production.

 
 Awards:

✓ He was awarded the Certificates of District Akimat and Regional Maslikhat.

✓ He is the holder of A.I. Baraev supreme prize for the best scientific studies and works in the field of agrarian science.
